In 1990 when my own house was being thatched, I decided to photograph the other thatched buildings in the Maree area. I then photographed them again in 2015 - 25 years later. Most are still thatched and a few sadly are not. I have also included a few I didn't photograph in 1990 and there are also some which have been built or added to in the meantime. The sequence they are presented in starts at McDonaghs pub in Oranmore and after looping around the Maree peninsula, ends up at Paddy Burkes pub in Clarenbridge.
